Holland Casino registered a total of 7.5 million visitors in 2007. This means a 7.6 per cent more than in 2006 and makes of Holland Casino an extremely popular entertainment venue. The increasing number of visitors, however, did not represent better operational results, in terms of profits.
The net income of the company in 2007 was 85.6 million euros, 4.1 per cent less than in 2006 and the money spent per visitor was 104 euros compared to 101 euros in 2007. The decrease in the company’s profits is also due to taxes, which in 2007 represented 268.2 million euros.
The small state of Sikkim (New Delhi) incorporates casinos
Apart from its virgin forests, elevated mountains, mystic valleys, exuberating green landscapes and spectacular mountain rivers, the Himalayan kingdom prepares itself in order to receive visitors with world first class casinos that include avant-garde technological equipments.
The representative of the Tourism Department in Sikkim, Sr. Upadhyaya says: “The project will surely end this year. The legalization of casinos resulted in an increase in the tourism section.
